Skill Builder Series: Patchwork Pillow

Our new skill builder series is designed to bring your sewing to the next level by teaching you several different skills within one project!  This class features a quilted patchwork pillow and students will learn how to use a rotary cutter, piece and quilt the top, add piping and create an envelope opening for the back.  This is a perfect project to take grow from basic sewing skills!

Students should have taken a Learn Your Machine class or be proficient at winding a bobbin, changing the bobbin, changing a needle, threading the machine.  

This is a 2 part class.  

Required Materials (all materials available in the shop for a 15% discount):
Machine, all accesories
Rotary Cutter and Mat
scissors or snippers
Ruler for cutting fabric (at least 10" long on one side)
Walking foot (optional)
Marking tool (painters tape, chalk, or pins) or guide for walking foot
Hand sewing needle
3 Buttons
80" piping cording
5/8 yard fusible fleece

Coordinating Fabric (letters are to help you keep track):
1/2 Yard fabric A
5/8 yard fabric B
1/2 Yard fabric C
1/4 yard fabric D

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Beginner, but should already know how to use machine (wind bobbin, thread needle, change stitches, etc.)
