Posh Frosty Quilt
Have you ever wanted to sew curves but have been too fearful to try them? This class is a perfect
introduction to curve piecing with no clipping and no pinning involved like traditional curved piecing! Sew
Kind of Wonderful makes piecing with curves simple with their Mini Quick Curve Ruler (MQCR). Not only
that, once you learn how to use the MQCR you will have so many free-standing and book patterns to choose
from that you will be in curve-piecing Heaven, AND have all the confidence to conquer any of their patterns
with any of their rulers! The possibilities are endless!
Materials:
∙¼ yard fabric (hat, eyes, buttons)
∙¾ yard fabric (body)
∙(2) fat quarters assorted fabrics (scarf)
∙(5) 10” by 10” assorted fabrics (flower, hat band, nose, arms, pipe)
∙1 ¼ yards background fabric
∙Pattern: Posh Frosty
∙MINI Quick Curve Ruler
***Binding, backing and batting not needed for class***
∙Cutting board, rotary cutter (45mm or smaller, make sure there isn’t a thick lip on the rotary cutter or it
won’t glide as smoothing in the curve, ruler (I like having a 6” by 24” andor 3” by 12” ruler on hand,
just in case)
∙Sewing essentials such as thread, pins, seam rippers, small scissors, and any other essentials you like to
sew with
∙Sewing machine
Prerequisites:
∙Please follow the GENERAL CUTTING instructions on page 1 prior to class! This needs to be
completed prior so that we do not eat into our time on how to cut with the mini quick curve ruler.
Make sure to label and place in baggies so that they stay organized for class. STOP after the
general cutting instructions.
∙You must know how to use your sewing machine and know how to sew with a ¼” seam allowance
∙You must be familiar and comfortable with using a rotary cutter
*This class has a minimum enrollment of 3 students. If we do not have 3 students we will have to cancel or reschedule.*
**CANCELLATION POLICY**
Cancellations or changes to a class must be made no later than 72 hours prior to the class. Cancellations made 72 hours or less prior to the class are not available for refunds or store credits. Our class numbers are limited, and and such we need 72 hours or more to begin advertising the vacant seats in the class. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
