Featherweight Maintenance Part 2: How to Use Attachments

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Did you know these wonderful Featherweight Sewing Machines can do more than a straight stitch? Do you have attachments, feet, and accessories for your Featherweight sewing machine? 
Do you want to learn how to use some of the extras?  Then, this is the class for you. 

Even if you don’t have all the extras, we will provide some for you so you can test sew with some of them and then have an opportunity to purchase them afterwards.

In this class we will identify, label, and practice using the “extras” that you have for your machine. Bring all the accessories, feet, attachments, manuals, screwdrivers, paper and pencils for notes, and anything that you think you might need.  

We will complete a make and take project so you can show off your accomplishments from the class. 

Bring some large scraps or Fat Quarters with matching thread.

Sign up now.  Seating is limited.  Anyone attending the class must have a paid registration.

Prerequisite: Featherweight Maintenance Class by Angel Herring

Manuals for machine/attachments if you have them (Available for purchase in class).

Screwdrivers 

Scraps to use for practice with attachments

3 Fat quarter size scraps for a fun project

 Scraps of Stabilizer for buttonholer

Buttons in various sizes

Thread

 Bobbins

NEW Schmetz Universal Needles preferred (Size 80/12, 90/14)

Oil and grease (Available for purchase in class)

Other basic sewing supplies

Scissors/rotary cutter/small cutting mat

Iron/mat

*If you don’t have your own attachments, some vintage attachments, 

feet, and accessories will be provided for you to test out during class.

They will be available for purchase as well.
