Dresden Plate Quilt Class
Learn how to make the Dresden plate quilt block and some of its many variations. This project will have you playing with color and fabrics, sewing precise seams and doing applique! I had so much fun making these quilts!
Supply list:
Dresden Quilt Blocks Reimagined by Candyce Copp Grisham
¼ yard WOF each of 6-10 coordinating fabrics (yardage will work better than precuts for this project.) (My quilt in the shop had over 20 fabrics plus the background fabric. But start with 6-10.)
18 Degree Dresden wedge ruler
Lightweight fusible interfacing
Freezer paper and/or non stick pressing paper
Rotary cutter
Seam ripper
Point turner (I use a mechanical pencil)
Rectangle acrylic ruler
Safety pins
Pins
Thread
3"x5" notecard
Sewing machine
Cutting mat
Recommended: spray starch
To finish a lap sized quilt you will need:
2-3 yards for the background fabric. It is recommended to select your main quilt top fabric AFTER sewing the quilt blocks.
½ yard for binding
Batting
2-3 yards of quilt backing

*CLASS LATE POLICY*
Classes start promptly on time. Students are expected to arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up their sewing machine and make sure they have the required supplies listed in the class description (all supplies are the responsibility of the student unless specifically listed as provided by the shop). Students may purchase anything they need for the class on the day of the class prior to the star of class for a 15% discount. Students who are 15 minutes or more late may stay for class but may not be able to fully participate in the class. The instructor will not be able to cover missed material. Refunds will not be given for late or no-show students.
