Sewing 101: Upcycled Totes!
Was your New Year's Resolution to have less of an impact on our environment? Join us to learn how to use plastic feed bags (dog food, chicken feed, bird seed, etc.) to make a market tote perfect for grocery shopping, farmer's market, bring lunch to work, etc. or gift bags!
SUPPLIES:
Bring any CLEAN feed bag. Bags can be cleaned with Dawn dishwashing liquid by scrubbing the inside. It may be most helpful to do this in the shower or bathtub where there is ample room. Just turn the bag inside out and scrub with a brush, sponge or poof and let dry. If it's not cleaned, it can ruin the sewing machine!
**WE HAVE SOME BAGS FOR PEOPLE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY BAGS!**
There is minimal sewing, so you can bring your machine, share with a friend or use one from the shop.
Coordinating thread, scissors and/or rotary cutter
Nylon webbing for straps (included in class price)
Butter knife
