Violet Craft Abstractions Sew Along

Once you have taken an Intro To Foundation Paper Piecing Class, join us for this sew along to make the Violet Craft's Abstractions quilt of your choice!  Sometimes these quilts can be overwhelming to start, so this class is designed to be a great way to get feedback and have dedicated time to work on your quilt!  And, you will learn tips and tricks for working on your project.

The first class will be a meeting to discuss fabric, pattern, colors, etc.  Please bring your pattern pages already copied - make sure it's coped on grayscale with the patterns visible.  If your home printer doesn't copy the patterns well enough to see, please bring to a copy center.  Some patterns require copies to be made on legal size paper and may require to be taken to a copier.  In Friendswood I recommend Minuteman Press, but any copy store will work!  Bring any fabric samples that you have or are thinking of using.  Most of the patterns offer a coloring page so you can experiment with color combinations, so take advantage of that prior to class if you are choosing a different color pattern!

Required Materials:

Sewing machine and supplies
Violet Craft Abstractions quilt of your choice (available in the shop)
Add a Quarter ruler
thread
Copies of pattern
Fabric (needs to be chosen by the 2nd class)
Scissors
Rotary Cutter

*ALL SUPPLIES ARE TO BE PROVIDED BY THE STUDENT.  STUDENTS SHOULD PROVIDE THEIR OWN SEWING MACHINE (LIMITED RENTALS AVAILABLE).  STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE 10-15 MINUTES EARLY TO SET UP MACHINES AND MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ALL REQUIRED SUPPLIES.  LATE STUDENTS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ACCOMMODATED OR GIVEN REFUNDS*
